Gerald Wright
Managing Principal
Mr. Wright serves on the investment committee and leads the firm’s asset management, redevelopment, capital improvements, valuations, and budgeting functions. A seasoned real estate executive with more than three decades of diverse industry experience, he has built a distinguished track record in value creation, operational leadership, and the management of complex, multi-asset portfolios.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Wright was Division President at Retail Properties of America, Inc. (RPAI), a publicly traded retail REIT with a net asset value in excess of $6 billion. In that role, he directed leasing, development, forecasting, redevelopment, acquisitions, and dispositions for a 75-property retail portfolio totaling 15 million square feet.
Mr. Wright previously held senior executive positions with DBSI, BPG Property Company, ING Realty Partners, Citigroup, and JMB Realty Advisors. At ING Realty Partners and JMB, he oversaw multifamily portfolios of 5,000 units and 2,500 units, respectively. Across his career, he has successfully leased, repositioned, acquired, and sold hundreds of retail, office, industrial, and multifamily assets. He has also led the development and execution of redevelopment strategies for numerous assets, including three major 100% vacant office campuses: Zurich Towers, the Kemper Insurance Campus, and the Tellabs Corporate Campus. Mr. Wright holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
